Excellent product, I had been trying to do the same thing with a string band, which although it worked after a fashion, it certainly doesn't compare with the Button hook. My right hand is numb due to Carpal compression and I find this tool AOK

I bought this product for my 91 year old Mother. Although I found it fine to use, she is very frail & has arthritis & could not use it. Also she is left-handed and this product appears only suitable for right-handed people.

Sorry I had to return this item, I hoped it would enable me to do up my top shirt button but having arthritus in my hands I found this impossible to use for this purpose, its Ok for lower buttons.
