Some important details that you should know if you are shopping with us

To place an order with us you must be over 18.  Your order is accepted once your goods have been despatched by us (see placing an order). We may not be able to accept your order, or part of your order, due to one of the following reasons:

·         your payment failed to authorise or, in the case of cheques, is returned unpaid

·         we made a pricing or product description error

·         a product is out of stock or otherwise unavailable

·         you are not eligible to order from co-operative Xest

·         we feel that you are not using our website responsibly.

If there are any problems with an order, you will be contacted by one of our Customer Services Advisors.

However, we do offer you our guarantee. Find out about the co-operative Xest guarantee.

If you change your mind about an order and want to cancel it, you can do so within 7 working days of receipt of your goods.  However, once your order has been sent to the warehouse to be packed (and orders are normally processed immediately after they've been placed), then we can't always stop your order from being delivered.  In such cases, once you receive the order, you will be able to return it to us free of charge. To cancel your order, please contact us.

We work very hard to deliver your order promptly and aim to send out all orders within 1 working day of receipt of payment. However delays do sometimes occur due to unforeseen circumstances. Currently we are only able to deliver to addresses within the United Kingdom.  Please see delivery & returns for more information.

Recycling your electrical goods

Waste from unwanted electrical products is one of the fastest growing types of waste within the UK. Unfortunately, currently much of this ends up in landfill, where the lead and other toxins it contains can cause soil and water contamination. This can have a harmful effect on natural habitat, wildlife and also human health. To help combat this, the UK's Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations came into force in July 2007; this legislation encourages business and consumers to arrange collection and recycling of household electrical appliances.

Co-operative Xest is fully supportive of reducing the amount of electrical waste that goes to landfill. To that end, co-operative Xest is offering a “take back” service of old WEEE items when you purchase an equivalent item from us. The old WEEE items must be returned to us within 28 days of purchase of your new item and at your cost.  Please call one of our helpful Customer Service Advisors, who will give you details on how to return your old, equivalent item to us.

If you are uncertain as to whether this scheme applies to the item that you have purchased, then just look out for a symbol of a crossed-out wheelie bin on the packaging.  Under the WEEE Regulations, all new electrical goods should be marked with the crossed-out wheelie bin symbol to show that the product should be disposed of separately from the normal household waste and can be recycled

If you do not want use our offer to take back old WEEE items, please contact your local council or visit recycle-more for details of your nearest collection site.
